THE PLANET SEEMS TO BE A CRAZY PLACE right now with global warming and an economic crisis facing us at every turn plus many other depressing issues. Unfortunately, there is no other nearby planet to jump to so we have no choice but to make the best of our situation, even though we often feel helpless to do anything substantive about many of these issues.
Our health, on the other hand, falls squarely within our circle of influence. While it may not be exactly where we want it to be at this point in time, in most cases, we can do something about it. It won't necessarily be a quick fix but with determination and perseverance we can begin to make improvements that can affect the way we live our lives on a daily basis.
Because the New Year is a time that many people decide to make some positive changes in their lives, I would encourage you to set realistic, manageable, achievable goals regarding your health ... and then stick to them throughout 2012. You'll be so thankful you did.
We have many fine articles in this edition of WELL, so please take the time over several days, if necessary, to work through the whole edition. Even if an article doesn't apply to you specifically, your knowledge about it may be of great help to someone else (another good reason to forward WELL on to friends).

We have also added a new pedometer to our line-up — it is for your dog but can also be worn by kids. (It has been a big hit with children in Asia). Our Petometer measures both steps (a baseline you have to establish for your breed of dog), as well as duration of activity. How active has your dog (or child) been while you have been at work or elsewhere? Regularly $14.95, it’s now on sale through to the end of January for $10.95. [see Wellmart for details]
All of the staff at Pacific Rim Wellness wish you and all of your family and loved ones a Merry Christmas and a very Healthy New Year.
